1-Step™ Ultra TMB-ELISA Substrate Solution

The Thermo Scientific Pierce 1-Step Ultra TMB ELISA Substrate (1 L) detects horseradish peroxidase (HRP) activity, producing a blue color (Amax = 370 nm and 652 nm) that turns yellow (Amax = 450 nm) with sulfuric acid or phosphoric acid stop solution. 1-Step Ultra TMB is the most sensitive substrate for hair color.

Penicillin-streptomycin (10,000 U/mL)
The solution contained 10,000 units/mL of penicillin and 10,000 μg/mL of streptomycin. Antibiotics – Penicillin and streptomycin have a potent combined antimicrobial effect against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and can be used to prevent bacterial contamination of cell cultures. Penicillin was originally purified from the fungus Penicillium and works by directly interfering with the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall and indirectly by triggering the release of enzymes to further alter the cell wall. Streptomycin was originally purified from Streptomyces gray. Its mechanism of action is binding to the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, which in turn inhibits protein synthesis and leads to the death of sensitive bacteria.
