UltraComp eBeads Compensating Beads™

UltraComp eBeads™ react with mouse, rat, and hamster-derived antibodies and are independent of immunoglobulin light chains. They are designed to compensate for all fluorochromes excited by ultraviolet (355 nm), violet (405 nm), blue (488 nm), green (532 nm), yellow-green (561 nm), and red (633-640 nm) lasers. Beads are spherical particles that can be stained with a separate fluorescent dye-conjugated antibody and can be used as a single-color compensation control.

Penicillin-streptomycin (10,000 U/mL)
The solution contained 10,000 units/mL of penicillin and 10,000 μg/mL of streptomycin. Antibiotics – Penicillin and streptomycin have a potent combined antimicrobial effect against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and can be used to prevent bacterial contamination of cell cultures. Penicillin was originally purified from the fungus Penicillium and works by directly interfering with the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall and indirectly by triggering the release of enzymes to further alter the cell wall. Streptomycin was originally purified from Streptomyces gray. Its mechanism of action is binding to the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, which in turn inhibits protein synthesis and leads to the death of sensitive bacteria.
